Desktop And Laptop Computers – Are We Going To See Them Replaced By Mobile Devices

Over the past few years there have been vast improvements in the technology and capability of the mobile device. We can now play games, watch movies, surf the web, listen to music, read books, and do a whole lot more with these devices. In fact almost all of the things that we can do with a desktop or laptop can now be done with a mobile device. So you may be wondering whether there is even a need for a laptop or a computer anymore. If we can do all that we need to with a device that we can carry about in our pockets then why bother with a computer at all? This question seems to be asked quite a lot these days and really needs to be answered.

Even though our mobile devices can pretty much do everything that the computer or laptop can do, it really can’t do them as well. For example, you probably wouldn’t want to create your documents using your iPhone even though it would be possible to do so. It would probably take you a lot longer to write a long article on your iPhone and the small keys on the keypad would more than likely be very frustrating. So even though mobile devices are capable of doing things that the laptop and computer can do, they will probably not take their place any time soon. At the end of the day, you are not going to get the same experience playing a game on your iPad as you would on a games console such as the Playstation 3 or the Xbox.

It is really impressive what mobile devices can do nowadays and we are likely to see more improvements in the future. But we probably won’t see them taking over from the home computer just yet and it may be a long time before they can do this.
