Nintendo 3DS details

Nintendo Japan did announce they will present their newest portable console, the nintendo 3DS, in June 2010. Their new handheld will offer 3D viewing without glasses. This is the information I collected :

• Presentation will probably take place during E3 in June. Some believe it will be available for sale somewhere between April 2010 and March 2011.
• The best news is that you won’t need to use 3D glasses to enjoy the 3D effects. It cooperates a camera which does motion detection of the gamers eyes. Because of that it can alter the perspective and therefor creates for the gamer a 3D virtual playing world.
• Nintendo indicated you can play your old DS and DSi on it.
• There are rumours they’ve builtin an accelerometer like the Apple iPhone has.
• Some predict the resolution of the screen will be the highest used ever by Nintendo on their portable console, maybe even offering 720P while the screensize itself matches the DS
• The power of the console could be a Tegra chip.
• Nintendo could implement a 3G sim so you can use it for over-the-air downloadable content.
• These over-the-air downloads could also include ebooks, something we already saw with the DSi XL.
• 2 camera, front and back, like we know of the DSi. Therefor also DSi compatibility support.
• Some Japanese sources say Sharp will provide the LCD technologies.
• Rumours say the Nintendo 3DS will have a rumble function.
